August 2019

Dear BFCCPS Parent/Guardian:
This is a unique moment in the history of BFCCPS. Shortly after we opened in 1995 our community began its efforts to build a school facility we could call our own. In June of 2018 we broke ground on our new home, and at long last we are in the process of moving into our new facility at 500 Financial Park. Over the last few months, we have been attracting and hiring the best talent to join us. In just a few weeks the school will be open for building tours and students will get the chance to meet their teachers for the 2019-2020 school year. We sincerely hope that you are as excited about our move to 500 Financial Park as we are!

Recently you received a construction update with exciting announcements with respect to the construction of the gymnasium as well as the purchase of the playground materials that will be installed soon at 500 Financial Park.

While no additional investment from the community will be required to complete the construction of the gymnasium we do we kindly ask all BFCCPS families to consider a financial contribution to help cover the remaining cost of the playgrounds. The estimated gap between the funds raised to date and the total cost of the purchase and installation is $57,000. We realize that there are frequent fundraising requests placed on behalf of the school; however a key part of our success as a school community is the generous financial support from our community and other interested parties

Please find a donation form attached to this letter; we encourage all BFCCPS parents and guardians to complete and return the donation form or make an online donation at www.bfccps.org/giving.

Your generous support of this request will help to accommodate installation of the playgrounds to coordinate with the start of the school year. Donations to The Benjamin Franklin Educational Foundation are tax deductible and donation receipts will be provided.

As always, we thank you in advance for your generous financial support of the school’s educational foundation.

With best regards,
