For a lesson wrap-up on continents and oceans, Mrs. Sette’s first grade class went on a “Word Safari”, locating pictures and words outside their classroom. Working in pairs, students hunted for words or images from a selected list, taking a picture with their iPad and crossing off items on the list.
Using a new augmented reality app called Aurasma, students discovered interactive digital content on pictures with an “A” next to them. Students were able to see an interactive bald eagle, giraffe, dolphins and penguins. If you would like to add Aurasma to your devices, click here for the iPad/iPhone app and click here for the Android app.
