This year, we are very excited to offer Video Game Workshop during our classic arts block. Using a web tool called Gamestar Mechanic, students are able to program a video game and create a professional presentation using Google Apps for Education.
Using various levels of problem solving skills and strategy, students complete game levels, which unlock programming tools and allow for their very own game can be published online. During each class, students are continuously collaborating and critiquing each others games to create a better final product.
During class, students gave presentations and all of the students are off to a great start! In the near future, the final, student created games will be posted!
