The Benjamin Franklin Classical Charter Public School student council is a student driven organization that helps to bring issues and concerns from the students forward for discussion.  Since its inception, student council has improved many of the areas that students frequent.  Some of the changes student council has brought about are improving recess equipment, purchasing picnic tables for the courtyard, painting bathrooms, purchasing a new school flag, as well as many other minor areas of improvement.

Members represent all students with the elected members coming from the fifth through eighth grades.  Council members are assigned buddy classrooms in the younger grades to make sure their efforts represent the entire student body.

Below are some photos taken from our student council speeches over the past couple years.
