Parent Technology Suite

BFCCPS uses several applications BFCCPS to provide a nearly paperless experience for our families. These programs allow us to streamline communications and offer a level of convenience for families throughout the school  year. However, in the event that your family does not have internet access at home please contact the main office at 508-541-3434 so that we can make alternate arrangements.

FamilyID: FamilyID will be used for a variety of school forms including things such as field trip permission slips, before and after-school program registration. Please note that you will need to use your correct LASID (student ID) for your registration to be accepted.  LASID’s are student ID numbers issued by the school.  If you need your child’s LASID, it is posted on the SchoolBrains portal (see below.)
Please be sure to visit and bookmark the BFCCPS Landing Page on Family ID
  • 2019-2020 School Year Registration (required)
  • Breakfast and Lunch Ordering (optional, deadline for the second week of school is 9/2 at 5pm)
  • After-Care Program Registration (optional)
  • Field Trip Forms to be added throughout the year

SchoolBrains:

Keeping you informed is a top priority at BFCCPS.  The School uses the notification system built into  School Brains which will allow us to send a telephone or e-mail message to you providing important information about school events or emergencies. We use the telephone feature of School Brains to notify you of school delays or cancellations due to inclement weather, or emergencies resulting in school closings.  The email notification system will be used to remind you about various events, including report card posting, curriculum nights, parent/teacher conference etc.  In the event of an emergency at school you will be informed immediately by phone and SMS Text Messaging

School Brains is our student information system and provides a robust parent portal.  All parents are asked to login to their SchoolBrains account to verify parent contact information and home address and phone numbers. Families who are new to BFCCPS will receive their SchoolBrains parent portal login and password by August 10. We ask that all families review and modify any information that is out of date no later than two weeks from the first date of school. School Brains is also used for parent alert notifications as described below.

Parents of students in grades K-4 can download report cards from School Brains at the end of each trimester.

Parents of students in grades 5-8 will have access to a more robust parent portal on SchoolBrains. Parents can login to the portal to view upcoming assignments, assessment dates and real-time grades. Report cards can be downloaded at the completion of each Trimester. Any student receiving a grade of C or below will also include a comment as to what areas of the subject the student may be struggling with.

Please note: You can also find your student’s LASID on the Parent Portal for use in FamilyID program registrations.

School Dismissal Manager:

School Dismissal Manager: School Dismissal Manager will provide us with an organized and efficient tracking system for tardy and absence notification as well as afternoon dismissals. You can quickly and easily update your students attendance and dismissal instructions using the easy-to-use mobile and desktop interface or School Dismissal Manager’s free Android and iPhone applications.

Parents will receive login and usage instructions annually in Mid-August. We ask all families to update their dismissal instructions using School Dismissal Manager each year prior to the start of the school year as instructed,  so we can ensure we have accurate information on how your child(ren) should be sent home.

Parents should use School Dismissal Manager to report student absences, notify us of early dismissals and any change to dismissal plans to ensure a safe dismissal each day.

SNAP Health Portal: In lieu of paper forms this year, the BFCCPS Health Office is excited to bring you a Health Portal to increase ease of communication between parents, staff and the Health Office. Parents have received an email from our Health Office with more information, including an informational video and how to access your account. Once in the portal you may select your preferred language in the upper right corner of the screen.  We ask all parents to please visit the SNAP Portal and provide updates by August 30th.
