On Friday, April 1st. the Grade Eight students from BFCCPS  participated in a big francophone celebration at the Providence Career and technical Academy in Providence Rhode Island. This event was sponsored by the French Consulate in Boston and the Delegate of Quebec.

There were over 2000 students present at the event. These are students who are studying French from Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.  There were many VIP’s. The event’s message was tolerance and peace. Learning another language helps you understand better other cultures.  We were spoiled with a mini concert from the Group Swing from Ontario and another one with Sidy Maiga and Afrimanding from Bamako, Mali in West Africa. The students were able to sing along and be part of this great celebration. It was a culturally enriched field trip.

Fun! Vive le Français!
