From September 10th to the 12th, the Sixth grade attended their annual trip to Nature’s Classroom in Yarmouth Port, MA.  Situated on Elisha’s Pond in Central Cape Cod, the students (along with their teachers and several parents) spend their three day/two night trip immersed in learning outside the walls of a traditional classroom.  From small-group activities, classes that students elect to take, and eating/bunking with your classmates and teachers to night hikes, a visit to Chapin Beach, the Ort Report, and quiet sing, “students develop a sense of community, a confidence in themselves and an appreciation for others that carries over to the school community.”
