In Mrs. Bartsch’s fifth grade classes, students have been learning about how our government works and to better understand the legislative, executive, and
judicial branches. Playing an online game called Branches of Power from pbs.org, students were given the opportunity to choose three issues that were important to them. Each student then took on the role of the three branches of government.

This game requires critical thinking skills and ability to make important decisions that had an effect on the success of the bills they were supporting. With a time limit of thirty minutes, this game is harder than it looks! If you would like to try this game at home, please click here!
