Welcome

Hello! My name is Rebecca Fogarty and this will be my first year at BFCCPS! I am originally from Massachusetts, but spent the last five years teaching fourth grade in Florida. I moved back to the northeast last year and I am so excited to be joining the BFCCPS team.

My philosophy of education is based on a student-centered approach that encourages an active learning process, emphasis on student discussion, and the creation of a learning community. I strongly believe in the importance of having a Growth Mindset and embracing the idea of learning as a process.

When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my husband and my dog, Ned. I also enjoy practicing yoga, reading, being outdoors, and traveling to new places. I am excited to be a part of BFCCPS and can’t wait to meet all of my 4th graders and their families!
