Dear Families,

We had a wonderful week in Room 7!

We celebrated Valentines Day on Thursday by decorating special valentine bags, passing out valentines to each other, and taking part in other fun activities :).

In Wonders we answered the essential question "What kind of food grows on a farm?"  We read the story "An Orange in January" and discussed how it's possible for us to eat fresh fruits and vegetables in the winter.  We added sight words "with" and "my" to our word wall and practiced the sounds the letters Ff and Rr make.

In Math we practiced teen number equations, such as 10+1=11 and partners to 10.

We read a story about President's Day and began to learn about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

We would like to say a big thank you to Ms. Dutch (Colette's Mom) and Mrs. Scansen (Clara's Mom), our mystery readers this week.

Please let us know if you have any questions, concerns, or comments at anytime!
