Welcome to 7th and 8th grade English! I am so excited to get into the curriculum. This year we will be reading several novels. Seventh graders will start with The Outsiders, then move on to The Giver, Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, and end with The Boy in Striped Pajamas. Eighth graders will start with The Diary of a Young Girl, then move on to A Raisin in the Sun, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn , and end with To Kill a Mockingbird. Throughout the year students will work on vocabulary standards with Wordly Wise. Writing will be supplemented  throughout novel units. We have a lot to get through, so we will be hit the ground running!
