Sixth Grade Teacher

Middle school students are at a convergence of self and their surroundings. They are continuously choosing what identities are important to their understanding of self. Those choices depend on the environments they grow within. Watching their identities unfold as choices are made interests me, even if those choices reveal only a little corner of who they are.
