The Benjamin Franklin Classical Charter Public School is pleased to announce the 2018-2019 Classical Enrichment Block Course Catalog!

Classes are offered by BFCCPS faculty and staff members as well as Artists in Residence contracted by BFCCPS.

Course Descriptions:

The classes are divided by trimester and cover a multitude of topics across all content areas. Classes are offered at BFCCPS and the Franklin School for the Performing Arts, 38 Main St. Franklin, MA.

A class description, teacher, and other information is listed for each class.

Registration Information:

Students and parents should review the class offerings and discuss them with each other. Registrations are offered on a 1st Choice-2nd Choice-3rd Choice method. We make every attempt to give students their first choice. If the 1st Choice cannot be given, we use grade seniority to fill the class and go the student’s 2nd and 3rd choices.

Our goal is to maintain class sizes of no more than 15 students.

Some courses will be offered more than one time in a school year.

Please Note:

Students may not take a course more than once in a school year. This allows students to get a broader experience of the courses offered in all of the content areas.

Student changes in enrichment block classes can only be made with permission of the parent and Mr. Heater

INCOMING GRADE 6 STUDENTS:

All incoming Grade 6 Students will be assigned to the class “Let’s Research” for Trimester 1.  Please check off “Let’s Research” as your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices for Trimester 1.

Incoming Grade 6 Students then choose an elective for trimesters 2 and 3.

PLEASE NOTE:

Students who are struggling with academic classes may be placed into the Academic Support Class and not their elective class for that trimester.
