Each teacher in our kindergarten through eighth grades is responsible for planning an academic assembly each year. Academic assemblies are an opportunity for students to demonstrate what they are learning in class, which often weave character education lessons into their presentations. For example, while attending an academic assembly, you may see fifth grade students running an elemental fashion show, where they don handmade T-shirts representing an element from the periodic table, while their classmates announce the attributes of the element.
