Grade 8 Capstone Presentations

Beginning in seventh grade, students develop, plan and initiate a self designed, service learning project. During their eighth grade year, students complete their project and present their work to a faculty panel and wider school community at the capstone assembly. Students receive guidance through this process as part of our advising program,  however complete the project outside of school and requires parental help and support every step of the way. We are incredibly proud of the variety and quality of the projects our students produce. Through capstone, our students illustrate that young men and women can make an impact on their school, community and world. Advising groups from Mrs. Sunday, Mme. Malouf, and  Mrs. Burke will present on Thursday, January 24th. Capstone Lunch

Make a Makerspace Contest

January 28 - February 1
Students will be offered an opportunity to present a model makerspace, incorporating what they think would make an ideal makerspace in our new building. Students will bring their projects to class on the morning of Monday, January 28th. Students and faculty will vote on the projects, and each class will submit finalists for our judging panel. Intramural Basketball and Volleyball

Students in Grades Five through Eight are invited to participate in Winter Basketball/Volleyball with Coach Simpson and Mr. Afonso. The program takes place at Downtown Sports 240 Cottage Street Franklin.   The program will begin on 1/28 and run on Monday Afternoons for Eight weeks. 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, 2/25, 3/4, 3/11, 3/18, 3/25   Students will travel by bus to Downtown Sports and parent pickup is required at 4:30 pm.    All students must submit the Extracurricular Athletic Activities Registration form before they are  cleared to practice.
