2019-2020 School Year Calendar:
For the 2019-2020 school year, we will be starting after Labor Day, with a first day of school for students in grades 1-8 on Tuesday, September 3, 2019.
We had originally planned an open house on September 4th starting at 9:30. However, in order to alleviate parking lot congestion we are changing the schedule for Wednesday, September 4th. As a reminder, a parent must attend the September 4th open house with the student, this is not a drop off event. Please find revised times for the open house on September 4th.
- 9:30 – 11 am: Students assigned to Mrs. Jumes and Mrs. Burns classes
- 12:00 – 1:30: Students assigned to Mrs. Tagen and Mrs. DiNapoli’s classes
The first day of school for Kindergarten will be Thursday, September 5th with an early release at noon. Students will also attend on Friday, September 6th with an early release at noon. On both of these Kindergarten early release days students must be picked up by a parent/guardian at the school at noon; mid-day bus service is not available and BFCCPS’s after school program will not be available. General arrival and dismissal procedures will be shared with the entire school community very soon. Please note that during early Kindergarten dismissal on September 5 and 6 we will ask parents to park along the front “loop” of the driveway, park and walk up to pick up your child. We will have BFCCPS staff on hand to direct traffic. This is an atypical dismissal method that will only be used for this event.
The first full day of school for students in Kindergarten will be Monday, September 9th. Bus service and after school care will be available if you have registered for those services.
We apologize for the change to the timing for September 4th and look forward to seeing you soon!
Tuesday, September 3- Friday, September 6 are full days for our students in grades 1-8.
Approved Calendar 2019-2020. Please take note of all school closures and early release days. Tentative days for the last day of school are marked for both Kindergarten and the rest of the school; these dates are subject to change based on any unforeseen school closures.

Summer Math Enrichment:
Kids and adults alike enjoy playing games that are fun and motivating. Games give students opportunities to explore fundamental number concepts, such as the counting sequence, one-to-one correspondence, and computation strategies. Engaging mathematical games can also encourage students to explore number combinations, place value, patterns, and other important mathematical concepts. Further, they afford opportunities for students to deepen their mathematical understanding and reasoning. Providing repeated opportunities for students to play games, allows mathematical ideas to emerge as students notice new patterns, relationships, and strategies.
This summer, try playing some of the games below with your child for a chance to build some valuable math skills and some family fun. Game on!

School Supply Lists:
We have gathered supply lists for each grade to eliminate the guess work of what will be needed for the school year. As you begin to purchase supplies, make sure to keep this checklist handy to make your back-to-school shopping as easy as 1, 2, 3! School supply lists for all grades can be found in this Google Drive Folder.
Registration for the program is now closed. If you would like to be added to the waiting list, please complete this google form or contact Mrs. Cifizzari at email@example.com.
We are thrilled to announce that registration for the 2019-2020 After-School Care program is now available. 300 spaces will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Students must be picked up by no later than 6pm. Registration will be for particular days of the week for the duration of the school year, i.e., every Monday or every Wednesday.
Students must be pre-registered, no drop in services are available. After-School Care tuition is paid monthly, over the ten (10) month period from August through May, and has been divided into ten equal payments. (Payment in full is also welcome.)
PLEASE NOTE: Our teachers and after school providers will participate in professional development on early release days. With this in mind, we will not be able to offer After-School Care on our early release and full-day professional development days. If you need care on vacation and professional development days, we encourage you to contact local providers that offer drop in services or local camps.
Parent Technology Suite:
BFCCPS uses several applications BFCCPS to provide a nearly paperless experience for our families. These programs allow us to streamline communications and offer a level of convenience for families throughout the school year. However, in the event that your family does not have internet access at home please contact the main office at 508-541-3434 so that we can make alternate arrangements.
BFCCPS Parents have many opportunities to volunteer in the school including Kindergarten lunch volunteers, field trip chaperones, art and library volunteers and “mystery reading” in the K-4 classrooms. All volunteers must complete a CORI check at least two days in advance of their volunteer day. Once approved, a CORI is valid for three years.
Please note that an appointment is required in advance and that CORI processing can not be accommodated during arrival, dismissal or lunch-time. Office hours will be posted in mid-August.
Breakfast and Lunch Ordering:
We are incredibly excited to launch our new breakfast and lunch program! BFCCPS is partnering with Revolution Foods to provide fresh, healthy offerings to our students and staff every day. This new program will offer an increased variety as well as increased flexibility with ordering deadlines.
Breakfast is priced at $2.25 and will be available for students attending our Morning Care program. Lunch is priced at $3.25. Students who bring lunch from home may purchase milk on an a la carte basis from week to week. Visit this page for details.
