In March of 2014, the Massachusetts Board of Elementary and Secondary Education voted unanimously to approve a BFCCPS Charter Amendment request to become a regional charter school thereby opening the school’s enrollment to families in 12 surrounding communities. Siblings of currently enrolled students will continue to have priority enrollment status, thereafter applicants from all 13 communities in the school’s district will have an equal chance at securing a spot for their child through the annual enrollment lottery.
Once a student is accepted, they need not reapply as their spot is protected for as long as they attend the school. If a child has not been accepted and is on the waiting list then you will need to reapply from year to year as the wait list number is not held from year to year. Priority in the lottery is given first to siblings of current students, then to residents in the BFCCPS region, then to residents of Massachusetts outside of the BFCCPS region. Our current charter allows for a maximum of 450 students, kindergarten through eighth grade. For additional information provided by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for students with disabilities in public charter schools, please read our official Right to Attend Notice. If you have enrollment related questions, please contact Marketing Director Joanne Basile via e-mail at email@example.com.
