It sure came fast, but the 100th day arrived and our kindergarten and first grade students celebrated with a variety of fun activities. Kindergarten teachers Mrs. Tagen and Mrs. Jumes created several authentic counting activities to experience. The activities included:

  • Counting out 10 pieces of 10 different snacks to make 100
  • Graphing a variety of items students brought from home
  • Each student wrote a page in the class book titled, “If I had 100 dollars I would buy…”
  • Teachers read “Miss Bindergarten Celebrates the 100th Day”

First grade teachers Mrs. Sette and Mrs. Heroux created various activities as well, which included:

  • Students made “100th Day” crowns
  • Played the game “Race to 100” on the number line
  • Students traced each others footprints to display in the hallway, totaling 100 footprints
  • Students made necklaces with 100 beads in ten different colors
  • Shared 100 day projects that the students created at home
  • Wrote about “If I could have 100 of anything I would have…”
